Description

Overview

This 4-foot spindleless peeling machine is built around a pressure-bar design. The rollers are driven by two 11 KW servo motors, an 11 KW servo feeds the log and a 1.5 KW servo drives the knife, so the cutting action stays smooth and repeatable. The machine weighs 10000 KG, opens to 500 MM and peels veneer from 1.7 MM to 7.0 MM thick. Its cam sub-rail holds a constant extrusion force against the log, which keeps the veneer thickness uniform, lifts yield by 3-5%, improves drying efficiency by roughly 10-15%, cuts the shrinkage of dried veneer by 2-3% and lowers heat consumption by about 5-8%.
